Flower trends autumn 200825-08-2008The Flower Council of Holland monitors the flower trends every year.
For every season they have selected a theme which is in tune with the season
and that season’s consumer. The themes are selected to inspire florists, so that you can easily
keep up with the developments in society and the floral market. They aim
to provide florists with the tools to create new and original arrangements.
Autumn 2008 | Folk Design1 September - 30 November
Atmosphere: genuine, natural, original, relaxed, essence,
country life, artisan, fresh.
Arrangements: fresh country arrangements and bouquets. The use of
white underlines the contemporary image.
Ideas: 1. a compact base of wooden sticks (available ready
made) is used to create a casual arrangement of lilies and Echinops; 2. lily and aster; the compactly tied straw allows the bouquet
to stand independently on a dish; 3. a corn sheaf tied bouquet of lilies and Triticum. Leaving
the stems of the lilies long allows them to be pushed into the vase and
allows the Triticum to dry. Flowers: Lilium, Callistephus,
Aster, Carthamus, Gladiolus, Scabiosa. Back
