Flower trends summer 2008

The Flower Council of Holland monitors the flower trends every year. For every season they have selected a theme which is in tune with the season and that season’s consumer.

The themes are selected to inspire florists, so that you can easily keep up with the developments in society and the floral market. They aim to provide florists with the tools to create new and original arrangements.

Summer 2008 | Talking Flowers

1 May - 31 August

Atmosphere: personal, unique, communicating, especially for you - especially for me, meaning, the power of temporality, symbolism.

Arrangements: powerful bouquets and arrangements with a personal element.

Ideas: 1. in this case the personal element comes from the ability to wear the bouquet on the body. A nonchalant corsage, attached to a ribbon by a peg;

2. a pierced heart from which wired roses peep precociously;

3. a personal arrangement that fastens to the wrist by means of a bracelet.

Flowers: Rosa, Convallaria, Triteleia, Gloriosa, Centaurea, Craspedia.
