Agapanthus(Agapanthus Campanulatus, Lily of the Nile, African Blue Lily, African
Lily)Vase life of 7 to 14 days if cared for properly. Average watering needs,
cut frequently. Alstroemeria(Alstroemeria Aurantiaca, Peruvian Lily, Lily of the Incas, Parrot
Lily)Can last up to 2 weeks if cared for properly. Average watering needs.
May cause skin irritation or allergic reaction. May appear to be limp if
out of water. Amaranth(Amaranthus Albus, Pigweed, Love Lies Bleeding, Tassel Flower)Vase life 7 to 10 days. Hang upside down in a dark closet to maintain
most of its colour if drying. Ideal for cutting from the garden because
they will blossom several times. Do not over water. Amaryllis(Amaryllis belladonna, Belladonna Lily)Water regularly, do not over water. Anemone(Anemone Sylvestis, Windflower)Flowers soak up a lot of water, check frequently. Anigozanthus(Anigozanthos Flavidus, Kangaroo Paw)Can last up to three to four weeks. Cut stems once a week. care when handling flowers, bract is extremely delicate and can easily
bruise. Asparagus Fern(Asparagus Plumosus, Tiki, Ming Fern, Tree Fern)Long lasting, durable filler. Aster(Aster Ericoides, September Flower, Monte Casino, Rainbow Aster)Vase life of 5 to 10 days. Stems need to be checked and cut constantly.
Stems become very slimy. Astrantia(Astrantia Major, Masterwort, Hattie's pincushion)Vase life of 5 to 10 days. Choose when the tiny star like clusters are
open. Needs plenty of water. Baby`s Breath(Gypsophila Paniculata, Gysophila)Do not mist Baby's Breath, will cause flowers to prematurely brown.
Bachelor's Button(Ventaurea Cyanus, Cornflower)Water regularly. Do not over water. Makes an excellent filler flower.
Bamboo(Dracaena Sanderiana, Lucky Bamboo)Vase life of about a year if kept in clean fresh water. Does best in
indirect, bright light. Bells of Ireland(Moluccella Laevis, Shellflower)Will bend towards any light source. Covered with tiny thorns. Wearing
gloves when using them is recommended. Birds of Paradise(Strelitiza reginae, Crane Flower, Strelitiza)Vase life of 1 to 2 weeks. Very sensitive to cold. are susceptible to bacteria. Cosmos(Cosmos bipinnatus, Mexican Aster, Chocolate Cosmo)Vase life of 4 to 7 days. Daffodil(Narcissus, Jonquil, Narcissus)Vase life of 3 to 6 days. When cut, daffodil creates a sap that will
shorten the vase life of the other flowers. Add to arrangement approximately
6 hours after cutting. Dahlias(Dahlia, unknown)Vase life of 2 to 14 days. Can wilt quickly if not cared for properly.
Add boiling water to a tall vase and add flowers to the water. Covering
the top of the vase with a towel is recommended to protect the blossoms
from the steam. Keep flowers in vase until the boiling water is completely
cool. Remove flowers and add to a floral preservation solution. Daisy(Dendranthema X Grandiflorum, Chrysanthemum, mum)Vase life of 1 to 2 weeks. Check water levels frequently as flowers
are susceptible to bacteria. Delphinium(Delphinium elatuem, Candle Delphinium, Larkspur)Do not over water. Dianthus(Dianthus barbatus, Sweet William, Mini-Carnations)Vase life of 5 to 7 days. English Lavender(Lavandula angustifolia, Lavender)Pollen can cause an allergic reaction. Equisetum(Equisetum hyemale, Horsetail)Vase life of 7 to 14 days. Can be easily dried. Eucalyptus(Eucalyptus, Silver dollar eucalyptus, Seeded eucalyptus)Vase life of 2 to 14 days. Removing the leaves can produce a sticky
residue. The use of gloves is recommended when using Eucalyptus. Freesia(Freesia, Freesia)Vase life of 5 to 10 days. Make sure they have plenty of water. Gardenia(Gardenia angusta, Cape Jasmine)Vase life of 1 to 2 days. Petals are extremely sensitive to touch, may
cause bruising and premature browning. Gerbera Daisy(Gerbera jamesonii, Gerbera Daisy, Gerb, African Daisy)Vase life of 7 to 14 days. Flowers need fresh water often as they are
highly susceptible to bacteria. Bacteria could cause premature wilting.
Ginger(Alpinia zerumbet, Shell Ginger)Vase life of 7 to 14 days. Gladiolus(Gladiolus communis ssp. byzanthinus, Sword lily, Glads)Vase life of 7 to 14 days. Godetia(Clarkia rubicunda, Farewell-to-Spring, Satin Flower)Vase life of 7 to 10 days. Golden Craspedia(Craspedia globosa, Billy's button, Billy's balls)Vase life of 10 to 12 days. Golden Rod(Solidago canadensis, Solidago)Can cause allergic reactions. Heather(Erica cinerea, Calluna, Scotch Heather)Vase life of 7 to 14 days. Dried Heather tends to fall apart quickly
and easily. Heliconia(Heliconia criswick, Lobster Claw)Vase life of 7 to 21 days. Use of wire may be needed in arrangements
due to the heaviness of the stem. If black spots appear on the stem this
is an indication of exposure to cold temperatures. Do not store in temperatures
below 12 degrees Celcius. Hyacinth(Hyacinthus orientalis, Dutch Hyacinths)Vase life of 3 to 7 days. Hydrangea(Hydrangea macrophylla, Hortensia)Vase life of 5 to 10 days. Iris(Iris reticulata, Dutch Iris)Vase life of 2 to 4 days. Flower buds can be forced open by peeling
back the protective leaf and gently tapping the stem. This should make
the flower open. Kalanchoe(Kalanchoe blossfeldiana, Calandiva, Flaming Katy)Blooms can last for 6 to 8 weeks. Plants needs sunlight to grow, however
direct hot summer sunlight may burn the leaves. Allow the soil to become
dry to the touch in between waterings. King Protea(Protea cyaroides, King Sugar Bush)Vase life of 14 to 21 days. Leptospermum(Leptospermum, Tea tree, Lepto)Vase life of 7 to 14 days. Be careful with flowers that are in blossom.
When they are in blossom they tend to shatter easily. Liatris(Liatris spicata, Blazing Star, Gay feather)Vase life of 7 to 10 days. Lilac(Syringa vulgaris, Common Lilac, French Lilac, Syringa)Vase life of 3 to 14 days. The greater the fragrance the shorter the
vase life. Lily(Liluim, Asiatic Lily)Vase life of 4 to 14 days, pollen stamens will permanently stain if
it comes in direct contact with clothing. Remove stamens carefully. The
use of gloves is recommended. Flowers may blossom at different times. Remove
blossom when it becomes unattractive. Lily of the Valley(Convallaria majalis, May Bells , Our Lady's Tears)Vase life of 2 to 6 days. Limonium(Limonium leptostachyum, Misty, Seafoam Statice)Vase life of 7 to 14 days. Flowers are susceptible to mildew. Make sure
air circulation is good. Lisianthus(Eustoma grandiflorum, Love Rose, Texas bluebell)Vase life of 7 to 10 days. Matsumoto Asters(Callistephus, China aster, Florist aster)Vase life of 5 to 10 days. Narcissus(Narcissus poeticus actaea, Narcissi)Vase life of 3 to 6 days. Nerine(Nerine bowdenii, Jersey Lily, Guernsey Lily and Spider Lily)Vase life of 10 to 14 days. Flowers may turn blue if stored below 4
degrees Celcius. Orchid(Phalaenopsis, Moth orchid)Can last up to 3 to 4 weeks as a cut flower or over a month as a potted

Poppy(Papaveraceae, Depends on species)Poppies will last longer if they are cut in bud form. Queen Anne's Lace(Ammi majus, Bishop's weed, Wild carrot)Vase life of 3 to 5 days. Dries very well. Keep in a dark area to maintain
the white color when drying. Ranunculus(Ranunculus asiatucus, Persian buttercup)Vase life of 3 to 5 days. Rose(Rosa, Sweetheart Rose, Hybrid Tea Rose)Vase life of 7 to 10 days. Thorns should not be removed from stem as
they may cause open wounds to the stem where bacteria can gather and shorten
the life of the flower. Roses are extremely thirsty flowers. Check water
levels frequently. Salvia(Salvia splendens, Sage)Flower dries very well and is often used in dry flower arrangements.
Sandersonia(Sandersonia aurantiaca, Chinese Lantern Lily, Christmas bells)Vase life of 7 to 10 days. Very susceptible to diseases. Scabiosa(Scabiosa caucasica, Pincushion flower)Vase life of 3 to 5 days. Snapdragon(Antirrhunum majus, Antirrhunum, Garden Snapdragon)Vase life of 5 to 6 days. Snapdragons are extremely thirsty flowers,
check water levels frequently. Solidaster(Solidaster leteus, none)Vase life of 7 to 10 days. Highly susceptible to bacteria, check water
levels frequently. Spray Rose(Rosa, Miniatures)Vase life of 7 to 10 days. Thorns should not be removed from stem as
they may cause open wounds to the stem where bacteria can gather and shorten
the life of the flower. Roses are extremely thirsty flowers. Check water
levels frequently. Statice(Limonium sinuatum, English statice, German statice, seafoam statice)Vase life of 10 to 12 days Stephanotis(Stephanotis floribunda, Bridal wreath)Vase life of 3 to 4 days. Flowers are extremely sensitive. Flower needs
constant moisture. Keeping your hands wet while working with them is recommended.
Stock(Matthiola, Matthiola)Vase life of 5 to 7 days. Stock is susceptible to bacteria. Check water
frequently. Strawflower(Helichrysum bracteatum, Everlasting flower, paper daisy)Vase life of 7 to 14 days. Sunflower(Helianthus annuus, none)Vase life of 7 to 10 days. Keep flower hydrated to keep the stems strong
to support the flowers big blossom. Sweet pea(Lathyrus odoratus, Lathyrus)Vase life of 3 to 7 days. Ethylene sensitive. Keep away from fruits.
Trachelium(Trachelium coeruleum, Throatwort, Blue throatwort)Vase life of 7 to10 days. Extremely thirsty flowers. Trachelium will
wilt quickly if taken out of water. Tuberose(Polianthes Tuberosa, none)Vase life of 7 to 10 days. Can last up to 14 days if stems are cut periodically.
Tulip(Tulipa pulchella, none)Vase life of 3 to 7 days. To get tulips to stand upright, place them
directly under a light source. Can cause allergic dermatitis. If working
with tulips, immediately wash your hands with soap and water. Veronica(Veronica spicata, Speedwell)Vase life of 5 to 7 days. Violet(Saintpaulia, African Violet)Plants can flower almost all year round, if cared for properly. Are
highly susceptible to disease. Waxflower(Chamelaucium uncinatum, Geraldaton Wax, Wax)Vase life of 7 to 14 days. Stems are very flexible. Zinnia(Zinnia elegans, none)Vase life of 4 to 5 days. Blossoms will last longer if all the foliage
is removed. The stem is hollow and weak. A piece of wire should be placed
up the stem to support the head. If the stem is kinked, discard the blossom
as it is unable to receive water. Avoid Zinnias showing any side of pollen. *
